Greetings!
On behalf of my fellow members of the Fort Lauderdale City Commission and the citizens of our great city, I am honored to welcome you to the 13th Annual Fort Lauderdale Edition of the OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
We are once again proud to be the host city for this prestigious and critically acclaimed film festival, which is recognized as the largest LGBTQ+ cultural arts event in South Florida.
This year's lineup includes a spectacular opening night gala, screenings of more than 50 domestic and international films, and a wide array of festivities that will showcase our dynamic community and cultural diversity.
I extend my thanks to all the event sponsors and community partners who have generously contributed their time, talent, and funding to support and produce this yearly festival.
Whether you are a long-time local or a first-time visitor, I am sure OUTshine will be a memorable experience. While you're here, be sure to take in all that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. From our world-class beaches and scenic waterways to our international cuisines, the greater Fort Lauderdale community is one of the top LGBTQ+ inclusive destinations in the world.

As the Mayor of Broward County, I am happy to welcome you to the 13th Annual Fort Lauderdale Edition of the OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
Broward County has benefited immensely from the contributions of our LGBTQ+ community. We pride ourselves on being one of the most welcoming communities for LGBTQ+ residents and visitors in the country. With hundreds of LGBTQ+ owned businesses and thousands of LGBTQ+ residents, Broward County is consistently breaking barriers and becoming an epicenter of LGBTQ+ business, culture, and life. We are very excited to welcome this festival and join in the celebration with our community.
The 13th Annual Fort Lauderdale Edition of the OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival features over 50 films from award-winning filmmakers, galas, awards, and much more! These powerful and inspiring films will prove as thought provoking as they are entertaining! We can't wait to watch these films and attend these events in what is sure to be an exciting festival.
