Amsterdam, 1986. The legendary Downtown nightclub pulses with freedom, desire, and possibility, offering a sanctuary for a generation of young gay men. Ronnie commands the DJ booth, while charismatic partygoer Lennart embraces the city’s intoxicating nightlife. Their world shifts when they meet Bas, a radiant young artist whose arrival forges an intense bond among the three friends. But as the AIDS epidemic begins to cast its devastating shadow over the community, their carefree existence is forever altered. Decades later, during the COVID-19 pandemic, an unexpected reunion forces Ronnie, Lennart, and Bas to confront long-buried memories, unresolved emotions, and the enduring impact of love, loss, and survival.
