Juan, a young film director, invites Mateo, a former actor who left his artistic desires behind for a settled family and work life, to star in his next short film. What begins as a professional collaboration slowly becomes an ambiguous space where creation and desire blur. The film follows two men who accompany their girlfriends to a forest and, left alone, confront a silent tension that leads to an inevitable kiss. As rehearsals unfold, Juan and Mateo unconsciously begin to replicate the same dynamics they are creating for the fiction. The creative process becomes a mirror, exposing fears, frustrations, and unresolved desires. As the line between rehearsal and reality grows increasingly fragile, The Mirror explores the fear of desire, internalized homophobia, and the need to be chosen—on screen and in life.
