High Tide

For his feature directorial debut, playwright Marco Calvani places Brazilian star Marco Pigossi at the heart of High Tide, a moving tale of a gay immigrant in Provincetown navigating the gig economy after an unexpected breakup. Also starring Marisa Tomei, Mya Taylor, and Bill Irwin, High Tide follows Lourenço (Pigossi) as he encounters a flirtation with New Yorker Maurice and an immigration lawyer (Bryan Batt). Shadows of past romances and the challenges of undocumented life loom over Lourenço. Calvani weaves a colorful tapestry of queer lives intersecting in one of North America’s iconic gay destinations.
