A devastating earthquake hits Oaxaca causing an emotional tremor in the lives of people with secrets, and hidden relationships that will materialize amongst the screams, debris, and dust. After this earthquake, nothing will be the same for the lives of the Muxes…a third gender: neither man, nor woman. The first body found after the earthquake belongs to Delirio, an elderly spiritual mentor for the young Muxes. She is a pioneer that has fought for decades so that people like her could find their place in a patriarchal and sexist society. With gorgeous, bright, colorful costumes and personalities equally colorful, Finlandia is the film not to be missed in this year’s festival.
