OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival is on the hunt for a Marketing and Social Media Manager to help us spread the word about our amazing festival. As our Marketing and Social Media Manager, you'll be the queen/king of online content creation, graphics designing, email marketing and social media strategy. You'll be responsible for creating buzz around our festival with your graphics and ensuring that our message of inclusivity and diversity is heard loud and clear. Graphic Design with extended knowledge and skill with the Adobe Suite programs - (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
Organized, detailed oriented and able to multitask.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Strong copy-writing and editing skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Have a good understanding of marketing and branding
Have a good understanding of social media platforms and trends
Ability to analyze data and use it to improve our social media strategy
Video Editing Skills (to edit festival promo videos, Instagram reels and more)
Responsible for festival graphic design needs (for web and print)
Managing creative elements and timelines for all festival endeavors across multiple platforms and social channels
Manage Dropbox account, store all graphic files for each festival separately.
Download and collect all film marketing assets (photos, videos, bios, etc) for each film in the festival.
Responsible for creation and maintaining of the “film bible”- spreadsheet with links, content, and details for each film in the festival.
Adding ALL individual film content and events to OUTshine’s website and Eventive
Email Blast Creation for all festival upcoming events, a Friday weekly blast.
Manage Festival daily email schedule before, during, and after
Responsible for upload of all festival films and special events to community calendars (MGDLCC, Arts Calendar, PBS, Culture Owl) and OUTshine’s Facebook Page
Data Entry (Email Collection, Membership Data Base, etc)
Maintaining consistent updates to the OUTshine website to keep content fresh and up to date.
Attend weekly marketing committee and staff meetings to maintain discuss creative ideas for OUTshine’s brand image and festival campaigns
Responsible for timeline management of ALL organic social posts to promote general festival updates, films and events. Creating a schedule, writing the copy and designing the creative elements for every post on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
CHANNELS WE USE: Instagram (main) Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Collect and transport items needed for OUTshine events and pride festivals
Help set-up and break down during all OUTshine events and pride festivals
Help with box-office, scanning and line-management as needed
Run errands if needed
General help to make sure events run smoothly
