This film is a satire on the hypocrisy and blatant ignorance of the society towards people and issues that are against their “social order of things”. It is a sarcastic pun from one persons’ point of view, a person who represents the “views of the society”.
The narrator takes us back and forth in time, through the lives of two women who find themselves at the same crossroads in life but choose different paths and how that affects both their lives forever.
The story starts with the introduction of two old women leading starkly different lives, one accepted by society with open arms while the other considered an outcaste.
As we go back in time we see that these two women had a relationship with each other which may or may not have been a romantic one – that is left up to assumption and speculation. Both these women come from families that represent two different sections of the society, one from a powerful political background while the other from a conservative small family.

EXTENED SYNOPSIS
Both these girls have things they are “supposed to do” and behavior they are “expected to uphold”, but when they are together, away from all of this they find their safe haven, their escape, their common ground.

At a point in the story one of the girls is kidnapped but we see how no one is affected by it, even her own family, since they would rather be pretend that she doesn’t exist than accept her for who she is.

At the end of the story we see how one girl breaks free from the chains of the hypocritical societal norms but loses her mind in the process since she is left all alone. The other girl succumbs to pressure and decides to accept society while killing her real self – though successfully accepted by society in true nature she writes about everything she is not – she joins the bandwagon of hypocrites while never truly being happy herself.

In its pure nature – the entire story is about speculation and assumption. We leave it to the audience to decide if things really are the way they seem or is there more to the story?
